The Young Learner 2 programme is designed to help young learners develop essential reading and writing skills while exploring meaningful topics that connect to their lives and the world around them. Through 20 engaging lessons, learners will build confidence in reading, writing clear sentences, using everyday vocabulary, and practising spelling, punctuation, and grammar. They will also learn to express themselves through different sentence types.

The lessons introduce learners to a wide range of themes, including jobs, nature, family, emotions, and cultural celebrations. They will learn about the environment, relationships and family life, and explore cultural traditions. Emotional awareness is a key part of the programme, with lessons focused on various feelings that will help learners recognise and express their emotions in writing and communication. Throughout the programme, learners expand their vocabulary, improve spelling, and use grammar structures such as present tense verbs, pronouns, and descriptive adjectives. They also encounter a variety of question types that promote imagination, reflection, and descriptive thinking. This programme supports learners in becoming confident readers and thoughtful writers who can express their ideas clearly and creatively while learning about themselves and the world around them.
